Cool app: shadowClipboard

shadowClipboard is a multiple clipboard (also called pasteboard) manager for Mac OS X from stupidFish programming. Contrary to the company's name this is a smart little creature. shadowClipboard integrates with the Mac OS X system clipboard and keeps track of copied items so you can easily paste items you copied a few minutes, hours or even days ago. shadowClipboard comes factory set to remember the last 10 copied items (images, texts, files, you name it). This setting is perfect for most users. However you can set this to an arbitrary high number if you want to keep items you copied a week ago for example.

The best part is that it's operation is very subtle. I completely forget about it, until I realize that I pressed Apple-C too many times and the one slot clipboard of OS X has already forgotten the contents of my previous copies. Not shadowClipboard. I just go up to the menubar and press the little icon and I get a list of all images and text that I copied recently. It's really a time saver.

Also, I have to mention that it comes with an innovative feature enabling you to share clipboard contents with other Macs on your network! That is really sweet.

It can be highly customized. You can control it via the menubar or using only the keyboard. It has two interfaces to choose from a simplified basic and an advanced full feature version. It's addictive, and I highly recommend it.

Quicksilver, with its fantastic interface, also keeps a 'memory' of clipboard contents, but this sounds like it has some excellent features on top of that :)
