BAM BABY! 1000x better... no... a MILLION times better. Honestly, I had to go back to look at the other one to make sure you're the same artist. This is in a different league altogether. It could go just as it is, but I'd TRY little things first like...
Tweaks to the mark might help - play around with it and see it you can't perfect the shapes even more. Can you drop the LTD? Or at least minimize it somehow - then Ron's Electric could be a LITTLE larger. That would be my biggest problem - the LTD. Even though the simple text treatment is wonderful and very apropo imo, I'd still look for a way to change the letterforms or something to own that part of it too. Please - no lightning bolts for the letter "I" in electric, but how about a tiny barely discernable one for the apostrophe? It's almost a bolt now. If it doesn't work - it doesn't work - but it's worth it to spend a little extra time on the details. Also try closing the space between mark and text - just to see if it works better - again - maybe it won't. Then kern that baby til it's crying for mama - climb right inside there at 1000% - looks good already, but check the apostrophe and the L in LTD (if that stays). But I love it - overall, very impressive. VERY.
have to agree with art. this is a huge improvement. while i can't seem to shake the order of the letters being backward, i think that may be residue from seeing the first one. it's subtle enough lettering in the icon that i think that's ok.
art's correct about cleaning up the kerning on the text, too. that's one of those subtle details that really makes a design look professional.
Likewise, I'd have to agree the toughest part of this sale would be the reversed letters. But I think this is one of the VERY rare times when the design is so good it overrides that aspect of the equation. It works as an "R" (for "Ron"), so the negative space "E" can be seen almost as an added or extra feature. But this is a great lesson for the board members who keep insisting on reversing their letters. It's almost NEVER a good or workable idea. This really is the one in a million designs where it pays off.
shouldnt the "R" come first or the "E" inside the "R"? part front that nice work.

You could call it Electrical Ron :D
I like the logo, typography needs a little TLC :)
Great logo!
Awesome job! HUGE improvement! I love when negative space plays a role in a mark.

Wow. Night and day man, night and day. Promise me you'll never go back to jumbles of backwards letters again!
Edit: I'd so wear a t-shirt with this logo on it.
