#365logo O&C
ucomefindme (142 pencils) | Sun, 2012-08-05 11:16As my project wines down, I wanted to post the to see what I can do if anything to make this better. I was going for the vintage/old fashion style on this one. I would like to put in my portfolio! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The white space you've got around all your forms in this is very awkward. The leading between your text especially. As far as the tree is concerned I'd focus on that more than the elaborate text. Wine companies seem to go overly fancy for their logos or go home.
I was trying to make the text to they style of the blue moon beer logo. I guess theirs works a bit better because of the color.

Thumbs down for me. I mean if this is one of 365 and will just disappear in the pile with most of the others? FIne (I guess). But portfolio work? The name is ridiculous, the type is clunky (see ZM's notes) and the image is going to be so small in most usage the cat AND the olives will be indecipherable.
As always... jmho.
I think one of your problems with this experiment is people are obviously purposely trying to trip you up with silly words... "olive & cat". When will a REAL client offer up something like that? Never. So let me toss you a softball you can try to hit out of the park with something really spectacular and portfolio-worthy (or not... it's your choice). Here's my 2 cents/words...
"Pizza Pizazz"
Who knows? Could be a real company somewhere.
thanks Art, I guess I should wait until all 365 are done before i play favorites. I take the trip ups as a challenge but it can easily be tweeked for my portfolio if words are too ridiculous. I'll take you up on your Pizza Pizazz thanks for participating!

I suggest to try to evidence the cat because it's more unusual for this crazy branding that I appreciate sometimes. The cat on the naming could be a name because it's so obvious. Something like "Tom's Olives" xD
yes I'm brazilian xD
Olive's Olives.
haha nice

this thing is wrong on so many levels. scale, hierarchy, rhythm, identifiability, reproducibility. kerning, leading...
it's just a bunch of stuff crammed together to loosely mimic something youve seen before.
