72.009 dpi screenshots?!
byandreasdotcom (10 points) | Thu, 2008-02-28 16:03When I take a screenshot and open it in photoshop it is 72.009 dpi?
What is that about? …and how do I change it so my mac takes screenshots that is 72 dpi? ...and if I take a screenshot with Shift+Control+Command+4 and paste it into a 72 dpi photoshop file the screenshot is blurry... can anyone explain why this happens?
The screenshot setting is on PNG now and I want to keep it that way...

You could try resetting/changing the default screenshot format by using Terminal (set it something other than jpg and then reset it to jpg):

If I change the screenshot file format (with an application called Onyx) to jpeg, gif or pict my screenshots turn up as 72 dpi. PNG turns up as 72.009...
Change the dpi to something other than 72 and then change it back for png. See if it sticks.
