2008 review: 1. I managed to

2008 review:
1. I managed to take steps with creativebits and adsoftheworld to the right direction. Both sites grew tremendously in membership and readership. But the to-do-list is still huge. :)
2. I managed to grow my business to 13 people and great clientele.
3. I didn't read the 10 design books I planned to. Not even one. :(

2009 plan:
1. I will develop cb and aotw according to the plans.
2. I will get one more big client for my business.
3. I will learn InDesign properly.

Going strong and staying the course.

Since 2007 I have:
- Furthered myself as a designer by learning about Flash ActionScript3, SEO processes, CSS, and some Java.
- Filled my portfolio with more than 5 times the quality pieces it had before.
- Positioned myself for graduation next semester.

In 2009 I will:
- With any luck, encourage my design business to grow or at least make ends meet during a possible slump in demand for creative services.
- Make new contacts in design by attending more national conventions
- Read a few marketing books I've needed to get to.

Happy new year to everyone!

I didn't make this list last year. . . so I can't remember what I planned to do. . .

So here's what I hope to achieve in 2009

1. I plan to learn more web design , css and non traditional media skills to upgrade my skill set.
2. I plan to do more teaching
3. I plan to do more drawing and painting, especially life/figure drawing as it has always been my passion.
