A nice email from a reader

I found my way to Creativebits via the apple support site. My DVD drive had fixed itself permanently to a far easten region and the vast majority of my DVD's are from a different region. I am a tetraplegic and rely on my powerbook for communication and it goes all over the world with me. I have been unable to watch my favourite DVD's for nearly three months but I am pleased to say that after signing up with creativebits and downloading VLC I am again able to watch my DVD's. Thanks a million to the person that posted the way around DVD drives locking up.
My quality of life has returned!!!

Thats just awesome of the effect that we as a community can help and continue to help each other out. I must say that when I found this site, I was thrilled to find a great site for designers to come together and share our passion with each other.
Ivan has created a site where we are all equals in our creativity as well as individuals.

I sincerly apreciate that in this world theres people as Ivan, with new iniciatives and being so outgiving and thinking of others and leading the way for the new generations of designers and creatives. As for me I think this is kind of home to me on the net.

I am going through the old blogs that Ivan, you wrote, from the first one back in 04 to the present, there is so much good info there, most of which is still valid today. I am bookmarking each page! So a big thank you to you and everyone else at creativebits for your help and advice and for starting the site in the first place! Its a great place to be.

i have to say that generally i hate forums.
usually theres a bunch of forum veterans which keeps new comers aside.
flames start from nothing. and there are some forums where people
just keep contradicting each other. not thats not sometimes good, but
most of the time, they do it just for the sake of it.
and most of all about forums i hate the bloated interface, too many buttons and useless options.
im not sure how i ended up finding creativebits.
but from the 1st look i saw its clean, simple and to the point.
i read some comments and i found nice, decent people and good advices.
and i joined in.

Funny how there are hardly any flame wars on CB. There was one back in the old days about warez, but I think that was the only one.
