Hi Folks,
I need your comments on this digital painting. I am trying out for some stle in here, Do you think it is an art ? Let me have your inner thoughts please... have a good day!!!
really, I'd keep moving, nothing to see here. I know it's abstract and all, but that just seems like the excuse people give when they come up with something in 5 minutes with a cracked copy of Photoshop. I guess as long as you're having fun...
I'm not a fan of abstract art, but here are some words that come to mind in reference to this piece: angry, evil, insect
technical interpretation: Large bold areas of warm solid colors with high contrast. I feel as though there's no purpose behind the piece... it looks like you just threw some stuff on a page with a vague diagonal orientation. There is no careful placement of form or color except in regard to the spine-like curves.
the forms that are there are ragged and random as though you didn't so much create them as let the computer create it for you, such as with Corel's Texture fill tool that comes built into Corel Draw graphics suite apps.
just a tip: I would guess that all of us here are primarily oriented to Puposeful Art. we look for balance, form, and function because that is what we are trained for, thus that is what is pleasing to us and what makes us successful at what we do. so we may not be the best audience for abstract art. I can't speak for us all though, and I may well be wrong.
Your art does present balance, but I'd say it fails on the form and function.

It's difficult to throw this out here and ask us if it's art. Art is subjective. What one finds powerful, eloquent and moving, another may find childish, lacking and without substance.
As an example, "Voice of Fire", an acrylic on canvas by American Painter Barnett Newman, provoked a lot of controversy in Canada when it was purchased for 1.8 million by our government. And I can see why. Take a blue canvas and run a red roller up dead nuts center. Voila. Cash please. In my opinion, no one was listening to the voice of reason. But then again, obviously the purchasers, educated in the field of art, saw the acquisition as worth it.
