Acrobat Full Screen backgroung colour?

Hi all
My first query here, so hoping you can help.
I've never used many of the Adobe Acrobat features in the past but was recently asked to put an e-brochure pdf together for my sister's company.
This wasn't too hard what with fade transitions and autoplay settings to open in full screen.
However, what was wanted was something with images in a white or black background that would open fullscreen with the surrounding background the same colour - so to be seamless.
It would seem though that it is down to the settings of the acrobat viewer on the individual machine.
I am sure somebody showed me a way round this but I can't seem to find it anymore.
I imagine it may have been a line or two of code that overrode the local machine's default settings?
Any ideas guys?
many thanks
Northwinds.
