Address Book SMS
smartgrafix (79 pencils) | Tue, 2007-08-07 06:57This is not design related but I thought somebody here may be able to help with this. Just got a new phone, Nokia 6110 Navigator, for its GPS function. Downloaded the Mac iSync plug-in from the Nokia website & it syncs Address Book & iCal no problem. However, my previous phone (Sony Ericsson K700i) allowed me to send SMS messages directly out of Address Book through my mobile phone (Click the Bluetooth button at the top of the Address Book window, right click the mobile number that I want to send the SMS to, choose "SMS Message" from the drop-down & start typing). I can't get it to work with the Nokia (when I click the Bluetooth button it always wants to pair with the phone when it already is). If anybody has any idea how to achieve this with the Nokia, it would be really appreciated. I often send SMS from my desk & hate typing long (even short) messages from the phone's keypad.

It's due to the Nokia implementation of bluetooth.

You're right Plugz. However, did a google search & found that there is a software solution to this. Costs about AU$10 but does the job. Anybody interested will find it here:
