The image is crude. The only rounded part is the glans penis. I got more of the titled impression of the image. Only after I read the tag did I get the idea. Aids is a long painful process. Impregnation is an instant process not the transmission of aids. I think a syringe with a glans penis is a better image.
However, it need to be highly polished and well drawn to pull it off.
The sheer brutality of the image punches the message home and it's a thousand times better than the last one you posted.
It needs a lot of work but the actual concept is excellent.
That said, I'm not convinced how far it would get with whatever client you're pitching it at, if it's a government campaign it won't get out the door, and a charity could be worried about using that kind of imagery but if they are brave enough then that has the makings of a fantastic campaign.
Agreed. The FIRST impression I got upon seeing the image and the tag was something more along the lines of 'sex kills' or 'penis kills'... Perhaps the message comes across more clearly in the Ukraine, given that the former Soviet Union is being ravaged by AIDS.
The idea's OK, I suppose...but as someone has already said, it's too crass for the mainstream. Very few organisations would touch it.
I only wish the content of the piece said something toward prevention as well as its lethality. That, afterall, is where the real gap in communication about AIDS and all STDs lies.
This doesn't educate anyone one how to prevent the problem. You're just stating a fact. Which is fine, but where does the gun come in? And, not all penises are bad... LOL

I disagree there as that is using two methods of infection and would confuse the message in my opinion.
I think the fact that a gun is a clearly recognisable image of something that kills combined with the phallic end is a powerful image.
The only problem I see with it is the implementation, the gun and the penis is far too crudely drawn.

The image looks more like 'penises kill' to me.

says, he has to be with his girlfriend and you say why don't you want to hang with us instead?
He replies - "Because I can't stick my dick in you... Or can I? Wanna try?"
- "Better than Chain Smokin' Cloves..."
Aside from that "random banter"
I think the image portrays a single-minded view
as i recall not only Penises Spread aids - Vaginas, Anuses and Blood etc can to...
Maybe the Penis is most common... but still.
