Adobe Version Cue CS2

Is there anyone here, or anywhere I could go (besides Adobe's terrible website and help line) to troubleshoot Version Cue issues. Since our department has upgraded to CS2 we have gone into using Version Cue as our main means of file sharing, and every so often it would lose its mind on some machines and work flawlessly on others. . .
Anyone have any experience with Bridge and Version Cue for CS2 in a 10+ user Mac environment?

my only experience was that the server would loose information about what files were stored in it..
I had to go to the storage location and retrieve some stuff from it.
...BUT I was running it on my laptop and I think it does need some server that is not turned on and off constantly.

Thing is we arent running it off of a server. As of today our IT department has emphatically told us 'NO' to an Xserve, so we are just using our local network to connect to each other.
But thanks for the tip! It would be essentially the same problem. :) I would have to retrieve files manually from another machine because Version Cue wasn't updating correctly through Bridge on the client machine.
Hoping other people have the same issues. :)
