Advert Help Needed!

Im sending a direct mailer out and putting an advert in the local newspaper but I need your advice on an advert concept.

Concept 1
Man loading cardboard box with lightbulb on to rocket with the strap line dont make you ideas inaccessable.

Basically this advert needs to appeal to business's just starting to think about getting a website. The advert is going out to a small farming village lots of building contractors and such. The advert needs to promote all aspects of design, depicting the idea that if you want to be a professional business using paint and wordart are not going to work.

Is an advert in this way supposed to be used like this or should i just have my name and what i do?

I need any ideas you have just post a comment please!

i think that the most important thing in your case is the target: businesses with a growing need for a website are usually small ones. and the location is a small farming village and building contractors.

in my opinion, go for something easy to understand and lighthearted.
your idea might be too pretentious. you should revolve around things
common for these ppl or for the immediate benefits that a website could offer.

just a bunch of flub-dubs from me, maybe you could make a mini-campaign using a simple template so you can build a bit of exposure

- if you build homes, who will build homepages for you? followed by a short phrase comprising your skills and what can you offer.

- website. the company next-door to you has one. after this you can start your explanatory phrase (copy) by aknowledging their problem and giving advice on what to do, ofc together with you

- or if they are farmers you can say "your cows have computer chips on them but you dont even have a website?" :)

- you construct buildings. i construct webpages.

- yes i will hire you to build me a house, but could you give me your internet address first?

etc

- your 12 years old daughter has a website but your own business does not?

- we plant visitors for your business. (phrase going like, we know you plant food, but we can give food for your business; website advantages).

- its time to solve that long delayed website problem. phrase going like "we know its missing and you are a bit ashamed of it".

maybe you can go with one that revolves around the idea that they are busy, they dont want the technical hassle and they need it quick.

k, somebody stop me.

a small businessman will want you most if he believes that for some reason your webdesigning skills will help him get more business. a demonstration of how your skills will add to his bottomline as the brief to crack an ad would be most appropriate. Start there and see where it takes you. All the best.
