Advice on designing a newsletter template

Hello designers!

I have to design a template for a newsletter for one of my clients. The problem is, she wants to be able to frequently add in her own ads from time to time, and just wants me to design the template. I have never really done this before, so would I still use InDesign? Is this something that she could have access to if I saved it as a pdf?

Or should I use something more simple? God, please don't recommend Word...=P

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Suzanne

I would find out what program she planned to use first.

I guess it depends on what version she purchased, and take it from there. If that's the case, then I really don't need any advice as she will be using the same software as I am. I am waiting for her reply to see what version she purchased.

You can always export an INX file and she'll be able to open that in whatever ID she's running. :)

Yeah, Word is bad on the front AND back end: Printers will most often times refuse to print Word files. They just don't play well with RIPping equipment.
