The First proof can be found here As you can see I went a completely different direction focusing more on the 'fence' idea than the electric idea (thus the E's)

The first thing I see when I look at this logo is the mountain of an A you have. I'm not sure why you put the crossbar of the A only halfway through it, and the line going across the rest of the word isn't doing anything for me except making it hard to focus on the whole word. I'm reading MAZON more than AMAZON.
Try abbreviating the company and doing something interesting with AEF. You can come up with something more creative when you don't have so much type to deal with. As for your E's, I've seen it many times, because I'm Greek It reminds me of a Xi symbol. Play around and next time you upload it put more than one sample. We love dirt, and sometimes dirt is what ends up being your concept once you polish it off.
Good luck with it. Not horrible for a start.
I would keep the stroke thickness in the A the same as the font, this will help with reading the word as a whole, maybe a darker blue will help it jump from the page,

A lot better than the other one, but still lifeless. What is electricity? Powerful! Dynamic! Energy!
Find a few words that describe electricity, do a bit of research, adn you'll come up with a much more effective logo. This one just seems like you're going through the motions.

Thank you all for the responses, unfortunately the deadline is upon me and the client likes this version. I will spend some more time tweaking it so that the stroke of the A and Es are the same as the text.
Too bad. Lots of potential there. But if they're paying... they're paying. Take the money and run.
