ambeda logo
gvambedkar (21 pencils) | Mon, 2010-05-10 14:33I designed this logo for my startup web design firm "ambeda". I welcome your comments.
How to check the originality of designed logo.
That means, how to find if there is any similar logo that is used by others on web. This is all to avoid copyright issues.
Thanks in advance for all your comments.

Hey. I like the font and the icon, but not sure if they go together. I have done icons with a letter then the name below or to the side. This one for some reason wants the icon above to be something more. Larger? More colorful? More stylized?
Brand New's brand logo today is more like what I am trying to say.

Not that you always need something more colorful. I just mean that the icon needs something a little more interesting.
Aaaand, I think the icon is a little too close to the "Ambeda". Just a tiny bit.
I think you're almost there....
Totally dig that mark - it's boring a hole directly into my brain. You nailed a very simple, very clever idea perfectly, imo.
But Atomic is right - the mark and the logo type don't go together. The a in the mark is a totally different animal than the a in the logo type - they do not go together, imho. Keep the mark and rework the type.
i want to agree with the above posts that the icon and the type dont mesh - but id like to see the icon in front of, rather than above the type before i commit to that
a slight of idea.. how about if you reflect the icon horizontally, make it like this kind of
----> "a" <---- (you can try to make it looks like Dax's "a")
will work for fun :))
I think the problem will be solved if you used some different font.
Think, Act, Invent.

the symbol is dull enough
you can maintain the logotype
the text is small enough
