This is a project I did for my Literature and Composition Class. I felt it looked best with the "pop" style because it IS a project on Andy Warhol. Tell me what you think. :D
actually, it is arial (regular, 12 pt.). I like helvetica, it is the other font I use very often. Arial and Helvetica are my favorite super legible fonts. I like many other fonts though... I've gotten a TON from http://www.dafont.com. I love some of their fonts, so useful...
Okay you got me there. :) Just wanted to point out that using Arial wasn't your only option in this case; in fact, it doesn't really work since it's associated in my mind at least with the modern, computer age. Definitely not something I associate with Warhol.
Ya, that makes sense. I just figured Warhol would have wanted to use something a little more modern because he was slightly ahead of his time. I used his (almost) exact signature as the title, which I think is kinda cool. Maybe something more...retro would work better?
That would be my only suggestion—switch to a better sans serif font. Maybe even Avant Garde? IDK. Experiment. Arial doesn't really go well with the whole pop art-motif.
The text is too tight as left justified on the top mostly. I would adjust that a bit and it'll look better.
ya, I know what you mean. My font choice was kinda bad...too squished. I tried to fit all the text on 1 page, and I succeeded, but it would probably look better and feel less cluttered with a different font. Thanks for the tip. The top left text is too far to the left, I agree. I don't know why I didn't notice that myself! It's pretty bad looking...
there are widely different amounts of white space around the two text blocks. the first one is intensely cramped. and to nitpick (which i like to do on type), the rag on that first block is really loose.
nice concept and overall work, just clean up that type.
oooooo, me likey :D
great great great job bro, thumbs way up on this one :D

He was a great man.
i don't know what I was thinking with the upper text kerning.

I'm a huge fan of the man and his work. You captured and conveyed his pop art style so well.
Good job.

Great job, though I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have used Verdana. :)

I Had to make it legible, It was for my literature and composition class after all. If it weren't, I probably would have used a more fun! font.
Um, how about helvetica or a typewriter font??

How about a typewriter font? That might be closer to authentic.

Can you get to the second page fine? I can't...just concerned. There's two pages. The second one kind of compliments the first.
First one is great though.
