i still think you need more clarity in your type..
instead of looking 8 bit, it looks like a resized jpg.

The visual is interesting, but confusing as well. I think you should start with an idea.

Looks more like night of the living guacamonster. Sit down and sketch...I find doodling brings out the best ideas.
