now, give us a god damn description, cause as far as i'm concerned, Creative_NRG is ABSOLUTELY right, those would be infact the smallest earbuds ever, or just one MASSIVELY huge apple.
now, with that said, and along with the other comments on both this post and the other apple post (and ALL your critique posts) give us a damn description. is this for yourself? a client? (if so, best of luck for apple, they have by far the most successfull ad campaign in the last 10 years by almost any company.)
you've missed the point, it's not about "apple" it's about the ipod. unfortunately, this therefor doesn't work at all. sorry to be honest...
I like the cleaness of your design here nanda but I would increase the size of the ear buds to make this a bit more realistic. I like the way you followed MACs format with an excess use of whitespace.
Keep going on this , look at the drop shadow close also and light direction.
Overall this is a good start and you acn develop this into a real good composition!
the concept speaks for itself, but the proportions need to be more realistic.
Keep working on the composition nanda.

you don't get it do you, read what creative_NRG said...
go back and see what this guy puts up. it's not that it's shit, it's that he doesn't bother to actually read what we're telling him time and time and time and time and time and time again. The bigger problem is that he'll post several of the SAME concept back to back to back, sometimes just 2, sometimes 3 or 4, and he's not reading what we tell him.
I can't sit here and give an honest critique if the person "asking" for it isn't being serious. if he doesn't give us a description of the brief/project/assignment/job, then how am i to say "yeah, you got it going nicely" vs "you've got a nice design, but you've missed the mark"
now, with that out of the way... take the friggin time to go back in this guy's posts and you'll see for yourself that he's rightfully earned the negative comments people are saying.
There is none that speaks clearly. A poorly photoshopped image of an (incorrect) iPod manual scrollwheel (obsolete technology) is a concept?
Apple is the brand. A literal interpretation of an apple in this photo is about as simplistic and unimaginative as it comes ... and displays a total disregard or understanding of what the actual Apple logo conveys. The awkward imaging of the iPod hardware destroys any meaningfulness of either the brand or the technology ... so why even bother?
My critique: No concept, poor imaging. In fact, incredibly amateurish photoshopping. This is not a design worth encouraging in any manner.
My opinion on this thread: I respect the arguments of those who ask (repeatedly) for descriptions to give relevance to the artwork on critique, even if it is amateurish. Many critique threads on this forum have found conceptual gems buried in poor design ... and likewise, have been very critical to beautiful artwork with no (or poor) concepts.
Constructive criticism is positive when those dishing it out have some expertise on the subject. It can, and often is, directed to the attitude of the artist as much as the artwork itself. When a designer either (1) refuses to contribute to the critique they've initiated, (2) does not bother to develop the artwork beyond what has previously been critiqued and displays the "married to the design" syndrome, or (3) whose only objective seems to be to flood the forum with meaningless posts ... if any of these things "destroy or nurture the creative spirit", then you're much more accepting of amateurish design when most of us here are expecting a sense and display of design professionalism.
What a brilliant and articulate response. Welcome back Gary!
My only caution would be in classifying some of the individuals on this site as designers. With a pliers I can pull teeth but that doesn't qualify me as a dentist.
To pull the plug on the spotlight nanda seems to crave. 20 replies so far on this one variation on the iPod theme alone? Hmm. S/he (could be either, or a genderless sock puppet) must be delighted.
many appologies. I admit that my initial response was at the negative attitude of those who I rightly asumed to be professionals, and no I did not research nanda's history. So my appologies.
I think I will just butt out of this shit fling.
For goodness sakes if nanda's work or whatever you percieve it to be is so useless, then why waste your creative talent, why comment at all.
Hmmm ..... I bet nanda is giggling his guts out .....

AHhh, I did a bit of research as archmedia suggested, and I realise now that you people have been patient, and have tried to help nanda.
I would just like to ask you good folk to imagine my face (be kind) and get all my previous comments, and imagine them as pie (creamy please) and just throw it at me.
I was out of line - BIG TIME!!!!!!
In my defense it was practically the first post I read and was just a bit taken back by the responses - but alas if only I did some research - but nah throw the dam pie. :(
So many x 1000 appologies to all.
And does any body know a good foot and mouth doctor - I need to get my pesky foot out of my mouth, but since I put do deep I need assistance!
=)
No pie throwing! A pie is a terrible thing to waste! Get some knives and forks and let's all dig in. I'm imagining lemon meringue. You imagine whatever you like ;-)
Mara
ps: Apple pie might occur to some people, but wouldn't that be a little obvious? Ahem.

Creativebits is a blog about creativity, design and Macs. We also have a critique section where you can post your work to get opinions and a forum to discuss any design related topics.
LOL. The world's smallest earbuds. Good lord you're an idiot. Get a life, really.
sorry come again!!!!
this is just personal creative ok...

It's hard to say if that was in response to Creatives comment or just random blabbering.....
....but Nanda still sucks.
Jerk! Give critism of the art, that's what this post is about.

ok, now that i'm done laughing...
i'm using my ipod, and why is it my earbuds don't even look like those? are those the older generation or newer generation ones? i know my fiancées ear buds look like that, but she has cheapy knock off earbuds.. hmmm so i'm seeing you're making a ineffective advertising using knockoff images.
