Welcome to the club! Get yourself an iPod shuffle for a start. ;)
Planning to get that Mac as my main work rig sometime in 06. I need a new computer and I really believe Macs has greater value overall - OS X, iLife, Quicken, DVD-Drives, (iMac) wide screen LCD (or TFT) display, Firewire, USB, Network card (whatcamacallit not WiFi, the cable one ?). So I dont have to worry about a bunch of seperate cards and their quality, bugs in the drivers etc, company like Apple does it all for you on their systems. Of course so does Dell and HP ... but physical distance (for rig maintenance) and pricing, look and feel of the product. Macs look like the better choice to me, also I want a Mac to test my web dev work, so yeah i'm gonna git me of of them.
Dual platform, with the Mac as my main machine. I like that plan.
One thing about iPods tho is - no radio tuner! ... And in a country of about 29 million people (internet usage about 5% -- Malaysia), iTunes Music Store not comming here anytime soon. Maybe there will be a regional one tho, who knows ...
