Apple's new Ad campaign

Apple has launched a lame new ad campaign in which they diss PC's and glorify their choice of the Intel processor. Watch it here. I think they could've done better than that.

I think the ad is far from lame, as it delivers a massage to a certain category of viewers, and those are current Wintel users.
I'm sure Apple's campaign will address other categories with time and you'll see an ad targeted for you, me and everybody else.

dull, dull, dull, dell. I have to disagree.. I really like the message. It works very well for Apple.
Imagine the situation Apple is in. They have been saying Intel sucks for years and now they are embracing it. You have to justify that and this ads a nice twist to the issue.
I like the ad quite a bit. It actually makes the phrase 'Intel Inside' once again meaningful in a way that doesn't alienate current mac heads and makes a nice overture to prospective switchers.
It's clean and shows the processor switch elegantly. In a way, I'm glad it's understated. I feel like the shift to Intel should be handled low-key.
I hope apple will now start to advertise their strengths that they hint at in the ad. Namely, the world's best OS, iLife and it's strong pro apps.
Why there's never been an OS X TV ad is beyond me. Maybe that'll be next.
Has anyone seen the music video to Such Great Heights by The Postal Service? This ad and that video are remarkably similar. I wonder if they are both based off of something else, or there is some sort of "copy-catting" going on.
They're exactly the same lol. Stock video probably?
That's a bit embarassing...
You can see the video online at The Postal Service Website. It's in the downloads section.
Apple has been on a copy cat tour indeed... to bad.. I liked the ad actually.

That commercial is in no way lame. From a marketing perspective it does an excellent job. The word "dull" is kinda scary but... true for the most part. I'm sure Intel chips are tired of loading up spreadsheets.
And that commercial was intended to be like the Such Great Heights vid. No question about it.
I like the music, the whole industrial look, the ordinary faces that were placed as employees, the whole thing is ok, but... too "in your face".
Not subtle at all.
I don't own a Mac, although I love them, but I won't go buy one because I've seen this ad, I'll feel dissed and low because I own a "dull" PC.
And I don't think that should be the aim of any advertisement.
Just my point. I'm a Mac user, but they should do better than to say "the other side's products are shit, PC users are dull".
