You probably won't find many experts on arabic caligraphy here, but you will find experts on balance, contrast, communication, and aesthetics who will be glad to give perspectives you may not have considered.

It's a gorgeous piece.
Alex, باسم الله الرحمن الرحيم means "in the name of Allah the merciful" and it's the first line of the Qor'an and a great deal said at the beginning of gatherings at the mosque. It is also one of the statements most often presented in calligraphy. It is a very sacred sentence, and this presentation is beautiful, indeed.
