I remember seeing a couple of IRC channels for design, but I do not have a clue what server or what the rooms were called now though lol, sorry about that.
From what I've seen, I think the design community mostly go with popular networks like jabber / yahoo / aim / icq / msn.
It would be great if someone started up a popular IRC channel for designers, but I'm not sure if it would take off or not.... Any volunteers?
