Artfiend Concept for inThought Logo

Leaky Penny's picture

Alright, this is what 19 hours awake and numerous cups of coffee came up with :)
You can disregard the "bonhomme" this was mainly to show you what I was trying to say about the text. Oh, and don't beat me up because of the font types :D

Hadn't done that

Don't worry, I wont beat you up because of the fonts, I might if you were right next to me, but since its via the internet the best I'll be able to manage is some crippling verbal abuse ;D

As for the concept, I tried having the letters pressed down by the guy sitting on them, and not the one thats peaking out of the box. I don't care much for the wave effect in the top versions, and I'm finding the same thing i did with my attempts. The text looks a bit jittery and since this is a logo for me (hurah, not a creatively stifled client!) my personal preferences matter :)
I think I will stick with the text being aligned, although i will play with the box angle a bit and see how it comes out as i kind of like it here.

Thanks for the caffeine induced mockups :)

haha, no sweat!

doesn't it feel good to be on the "client end" of the design process for once? Yeah, I guess the idea was good in theory, but regardless the basic concept of your design is strong. If theres one more thing I have to input its that you shouldn't use a font with serif. Besides that I like it, it's simple, effective and all out cool! ;)

No good.

Piotr's concepts were much better. And I will beat you up for the font types. Hah. I'm joking, btw - in case that wasn't clear. ;)

Uh Oh

I wasn't too sure at first, but thanks for specifying!
Upon reflection, yeah, his were way better!

Bottom left is the best so

Bottom left is the best so far.. still needs a lot of work on typography and getting it "right". Also, can't read your name when it is scaled really small may become an issue.

airport

the stick man just reminds me far too much of the immigration icon you find when arriving at an international aiport. You know, that icon that's to remind you that you need to pull out your passport..
