Ash Logo
Triple One (103 pencils) | Sat, 2010-07-10 03:20Logo for street wear clothing company. After several sketches, this was decided on. Will be used as the main icon/sleeve tag etc. Comments/critique appreciated.

Took me a good five minutes to realize that this was an "a" for "Ash", and not two random squiggle shapes meant to look cool. With such thin lines, you're going to have to worry about how it looks when (inevitably) scaled down.
It's a graffiti handstyle, which without the rest of the word, might seem random, but the goal was to have the "A" unique and recognizable enough to stand on it's own. I was worried about the thin lines, but right now the thumbnail on the side of this page seems to hold up.

I don't see "Street Wear". I see a tattoo a big chick would have on the back of her neck.

I'm going to print it out and eat it.

I thought it was a stylized love heart when I first saw it.
This could be a good thing?
It does remind me strait away of a tattoo, I like it and think it would work for a street wear company. I have mixed emotions, probably need to see it with further development.
Does it have type to accompany this logo?

Type, well, "handstyles" have been added to the logo, although it is graffiti and difficult to read for most people. We are still working on a font based version that will accompany the A for normal usage. I will post again when we get closer to finalizing.
Thanks for your input!

I thought it was a twisted musical notation. You had to tell me it was an "a" rather than me work that out on my own. Sorry, but this mark fails in my books.
You might want to try grunging it up a bit and making it more like an "a"...make the mark edgier. imo
