It's a logo for a small technology company in the UK which supplies systems which control fire alarms, CCTV, etc. The logo has to work on the front panels of devices and printed (hence the simple mark). It needs to convey strong, simple solutions from a company who can be trusted.

The A reminds me of Adobe, but I really like the strength I can see in the logo. It feels strong and I feel like I can trust them. Good job, I'm not going to give you a full fledged critique, but I like the font you made. Vector?
Yep. Vector all the way.
oh good :)

yeah, that was my first reaction as well. but that's on the client's name more than on the logo. i'm not sure how to overcome that one.
Yeah, no way to overcome that one.

Wow. I hadn't seen that one. They've been trading for around 20 years, so I'm afraid we can't change that.

I think this looks like a very successful logo. Its strong, yet simple. It's good that it works well in black and white, that means you can apply any color to it. It conveys trust and strength, so good job!

It looks like a type of bible. Like KJV, NIV, etc. This is mostly a good thing because people will relate it to the bible, and that's quite a compliment from most people. It's a great work of writing.
Just a small remark: Maybe it's just me, but it appears as though you could move the L a *tiny* bit closer to the S. (2-3 pixels in the 1024px preview at most)
i agree.
I will go and check. It's one of those things that I'm very particular about when I set a logo. Thanks for spotting it.
