Batch-Converting Image Files
thornysarus (926 pencils) | Wed, 2007-02-07 14:31Here's the predicament: I've designed a coupon book for a major tourist venue in Tennessee. This coupon book will be distributed through 128 hotels and condo rental places. Each will have their logo stripped-in in the designated area on the cover of the coupon book, overprinted in black.
As of now, I've received about 80 of the 128 logos from these companies. The trouble is that some are PDF, some are Jpeg, others are eps... You get the picture.
I want to put all these logo files into a single folder and do a batch-convert to grayscale or black and white and resize them all to specific width.
What's the best way to accomplish this?
Much thanks in advance,
Terry

Bridge will do it for ya, I think. Lovely thing that Bridge.
If not, then write a fast script in Photoshop to do it for you while you go get coffee. Very nice thing that interface in Photoshop for such things.
If you can't get er done let me know your requirements and I will fix you up something that will do it for you.
Photoshop is the don of batching now. Like Lisa said, simply set up an action that does what you need, you can now apply this actin from within Bridge.
If you don't have CS2 graphic Converter is just as good at batching, if a little less refined and is much cheaper than PS CS2. If god forbid your on a PC you should go for ACDSee pro.

Thanks for the replies. I assumed PS Actions would be the way to go, but Bridge is a new one for me. I'll take a look at that. I'm still a couple of weeks out from actually having to do this, but am always looking for an easier way.
Thanks again.
