Best designed (music) magazine?
iestynx (73 points) | Wed, 2008-10-22 19:06I am about to start a project with a group of teenagers crating a 30 page music magazine that covers unsigned bands mainly. But what I'm after is inspiation, which magazines currently catch your eye? Be it in print or online.
I will need to purchase some magazines so it would help if they're available in the UK.
Music mag = Rolling Stone
http://www.rollingstone.com/
(imho)
Another helpful link might be: http://www.newsstand.co.uk/
This is a listing of available mags both online and inhand, all categorized.
Have fun...lucky you.

Thanks for that.
I'm looking for all your best designed magazines not just music ones, so that i can take the best bits from all types.
Really depends on your target audience.
I like pitchfork.com (online) because it's simple. kerrang.com is HUGE in the UK.

The Salon Design Tech
German spex, also Metal Hammer.
Another mag I was going through last night that I think would work for your project--ARRIVAL put out by Aeroplan. I find it slick, clean, energetic and COOL.
