i think it would be stronger without the condoms. especially so many. the type speaks leaps and bounds. the condoms seem like overkill

Why use the AIDS ribbon mark if your theme is birth control, with no mention of the condom's role in preventing HIV transmission? What length of time do your cost figures represent? They would be more meaningful if you specified that.

your concept is that it's cheaper to buy a condom than the expenses of caring for a child .... it's all about money???!

The choice is not about money. It's about emotion and health and human lives. You've decided to focus your ad on the least significant issue that should be made in making "a choice".

Is this a comp piece for a portfolio or are you actually doing this work for a client?

garyW, I'm glad you made that point, about the choice being only one of economics. I was assuming nanda was targeting a certain type of person to whom emotion, health and human life are far less important considerations than instant personal gratification -- the choice then being between two varying degrees of inconvenience. I could see how that might have a certain cynical appeal.

everyone seems to be doing AIDS prevention posters and safe sex and all those fun fun (yes sarcastically said!) topic posters! why is it i've never ever seen a brief for one of these, or a posting for freelancers to do some, or anything else. man i'm in the wrong place, cause it seems that alot of money is spent on these posters instead of on research for cures.

now, onto the poster, if you're going to mention costs of things, take into account the following
-education
-diapers
-clothing
-and a whole bunch of other things..
if you're going to go with the cost thing, you have to make it alot more dramatical then what you've shown.

I agree on previous comments, particularly about garyW.

And I also agree on the comments about the costs that you chose. The price of a bottle compared to the price of 3 years of diapers is drastic. Go extreme if you are going to play the money game. :)
