Greg (309 pencils) | Wed, 2005-06-01 20:39I just finished my website (thanks again for all the feedback BTW.) So my next move was to work on a blog (as suggested.) It's simple, open, warm. It's not the most advanced nor is it the flashiest but I like it and I'm curious as to what your opinions are. :c) Thank you!

I suppose that means it's so good that there isn't anything to say... OR it's so bad there is too much to say...

One thing bothers me a lot - is the font size. it's hard to read this big. The copyright at the bottom is way too light. It's impossible to read it. Check the smily styling. I don't think you want any borders around them.
Bookmarked it! :D
Thanks Ivan! I didn't even know WordPress did smilys!! lol! (Now I'm going to make my own) Thanks for the comment... I wouldn't have found the smily problem. ;c) I'll make the text smaller too. I modified the default "Kubrick" theme and he styles font sizes diffrently then I do... I've got to go through the CSS and work on it... Thank you for the help and suggestions. :D
I hope I'll make it bookmark-worthy... I've never blogged before. Anyway, next post is in the works... "Centering DIVs using CSS"

CSS is something I'm definitely interested in!
Oh yeah, re: the copyright at the bottom of the page... I know it's too light. I really don't care. I don't like attention being drawn to the copyright notice... If someone is going to look and see if it's copyrighten they'll see it. :c) Also, fixed the smily borders and mad ethe text smaller.

OK. cool. But then also make the copyright links invisible, because now it sticks out too much!
good point... :c) Thank you.

I enjoy your use of Century Gothic, but what about the readers who come to your site who don't have that font loaded on their system? You should probably define some other acceptable, alternative fonts in the font-family. Right now... It defaults to a serifed font which is pretty different, stylistically. I like the serifed as well. Just wanted to bring it to your attention. :)
thanks... I'll have to get into the CSS when I have a chance... Clients take priority over personal stuff... lol
