bluBox Mobile Self Storage
btetzl50 (57 points) | Mon, 2008-07-14 05:11BluBox Mobile Storage is similar to PODS, where a box is dropped off in front of your house and you load it up with stuff and then it's brought back to a warehouse or delivered to a different address (moving from house to house). This project is a quick update of the old logo, keeping the same color, and hopefully some similarity. I tried some cliches like an actual BOX or an actual storage container/forklift. I figure placing bluBOX in a a circle or hexagon just would confuse the lowest common denominators out in the world. I like the box when its not part of the type, more of a moving/storage device, just like the lock represents the safety of your stuff.
NOTES: The actual storage boxes are something like 7x8x5 feet. Sticking with the color BLUE. Please keep in mind that these are concepts and things like kerning and skewed angles are not perfect-yet!

look like facebook logo, make u think of facebook logo...
These are great - especially row D. Very corporate and simple (simple is best!).
Good work fella.

'Keeps losing his mojo, then finding it again'.
I like row E. Especially E2, though E1 is excellent as well.
The padlock as "O" is clever and communicates the message effectively. Of course, the tag line must increase in size on E2...
The font of "blu", particularly the "l" isn't pleasing somehow. It's not a deal breaker but it does draw my eye unnecessarily.
Great job!
Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.
I would refrain from being too literal and putting the logo in an actual box though. I like the top row, but they have somewhat of a generic look. I would build on E1. Try to keep it simple though. Nice work.
i say go even simpler. just a simple blue box with blu box stacked next to it.
like this...
not the right fonts, not the right setup, but you get the idea.
I like that concept a lot, Gwells. Literal, but not in your face like the drawings of open cardboard boxes. :)

thanks. i think too many people try to communicate too much in a logo (or any other icon). the simpler it can be made, the easier it will be to understand (and/or remember).
