Blue Logo
12kozioa (46 pencils) | Fri, 2010-01-08 13:13This is a complete logo redo for 'blue'. In my opinion, the original balloon logo could have easily swayed from looking free to looking alone, as well as looking childish, which was evident in the feedback I received.
Blue, for those who dont know, is an idea for a telecommunications company to the average consumer. The basic idea behind 'blue' was using technology in a simplistic and free way-the name of the company represented all vast blue things (such as oceans, the sky, etc.)
This new logo was designed to show those themes in a more metaphorical way, and hopefully avoiding the depressive side of the colour. Specifically, the logo can look like a flame- something that is the free, ignited- while the logo can look like a simple droplet of water.
What do you think? Is it professional and/or represents the idea of 'blue' well? Any thoughts are welcome.

yes I'm brazilian xD
I don't feel this one is working...reminds me of a gas company.
Why not step away from trying to tie an icon to the word and just experiment with the letters themselves?

16 billion colours and you choose the one i cant create !??!
qwertyale said it before, your background is an artificial 'Wow' factor. Ditch it.
But wait, just ditch the logo too, because you used a non-unique symbol (waterdrop) for a logo.

No no. A drop can't simultaneously be a flame. You need to do some word associations.

A natural gas company? Jeeze! For the love of God! I am this close to writing a lengthy, blue language infused diatribe against posters who can't design themselves out of a wet paper bag and want us to give some sort of constructive criticism. You're just not giving any of us anything to construct with!
Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.
They are actually designing for a telecommunications company. Also, I'll proof read said diatribe for you.

Glad to have the help. I'll need to drink 5 hours straight just to get it right.

Too abstract. Where is the communications connection?
I thought it was alogo for a gas company. Plus the telecommunications aspect is not there.
If you keep working with an apbstract logo think about attaching a slogan to help communicate waht it is you do.
try again!
as Robbie said, all I see is a naff version of the British Gas logo. COMMUNICATE!!
