What business? Is Brandy Sense your name or just something you came up with? I think we need more info here. But the presentation is nice.
BrandySense.... brand identity studio specialised in making brand identity design and making strategical designs.
If brand identity is your business - I think you need a stronger calling card. You've basically got a banner here that is not all that dissimilar from stuff one can find in most clip art collections. How are you going to convince clients you're the one who can create a fresh, exciting new identity for them when you're using a rather simple and straightforward double folded banner? Nothing unique or particularly memorable about it? Sorry to be so dismissive - but that's really what I see here (beyond the nice presentation).
As always... jmho.
I'm not a fan that the bottom banner gets cut off instead of sticks out to the right like the top one does to the left. Feels unbalanced to me.
Is "Brandy Sense" supposed to be a play on "Brand Essence"? If so, it makes no...er...sense. But if that is the client's name, so be it. Sorry, but this is a dull idea (the stiff folded banner) with a lot of window-dressing added in an attempt to make the client think a lot of design skill went into it. By this I mean the stages of development from doodles to the slick (and increasingly familiar) collateral display. It lacks originality. Loosen up!
or "Brand Sense", Martin Lindstorm's book...
yes I'm brazilian xD
That connection would make even less sense, unless you were creating a parody for the Chairman's 50th birthday "roast" or something.
An example to the credence in you can make a weak idea look polished and worthy on the computer representing final concepts rather than in a sketchbook where ideas show their value. RIP old school way of branding design by the large part of our community.
I personally have a very hard time trying to connect the banner idea to the man at the top with the sound waves around him :/ I "suppose" I can see what's trying to happen but there's no way knowing that the current solution shows that, and someone without that back story would never think of that.
Exactly. The sketches seem more to me like an afterthought.
Good execution, but I can't get past the association of "Brandy" as a delightful alcohol.
Crazy good execution. Would love to see more marks presented in this same format. Well done! However, I'm not a fan of the mark. Completely bewildered by the diagram showing its evolution. The ribbon is very unbalanced. I could kinda go for 'brand essence / Brandy Sense'.Despite the drawbacks, it's not an unpleasant mark to look at. Overall, mark and branding is really good but could have been worked a few weeks longer.
Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.
