Business Card Needs Redesign - HELP!
macsolutions (42 pencils) | Mon, 2008-01-21 16:35I have tried to the best of my ability to design my new business card but I don't think I am there yet. Could someone help me redesign it.

i think it's OK overall (although the white type against blue may be hard to read full-size), clean, neat, safe. (TOO safe?)
But I'm not sure the circle around the word "Mac" makes sense. Looks like a logo from the '70s for a company called "C Mac Solutions."
I also wonder if you need the two bylines ("On-Site Service &..." and "The Complete Solutions...").
Overall, marries in well with your website--clean and professional. I agree with the white text on blue; either go black on blue or one of the colours on a white strip.
Other thoughts:
- blind emboss your logo
- partially screen in the graphic used on your website so it is emerging from the black
I know it won't fit in any bus. card holders in the known world, but have you looked at designing your entire card in a circular fashion? The "C" in your logo would be the outside left edge; if trying this route, pull in your puzzle icon theory and in fact, have it cut into four pieces as you have in your web graphics and have your targeted audience piece the puzzle together. Tagline: ...????

I like the colors. How is this printing? Offset? I'd worry about the white text filling in.
Much like your website you posted a couple weeks ago, I think it has too much black. Try using more white than black on the front. If you like the heavy black, perhaps save it for the back of the card.
man i love those colors. the blue really pops out. i would suggest you keep the contact info together, move the blue bar with secondary info down to the bottom. i made a sample if you'd like for me to send it to you.
Thanks Jesus, A sample of the redesign would be great.
Cheers.
Watch out you don't lose all that knocked out white text on that black.
