Ok I tried something new, this time around I shied away from the mean looking bee that everyone disliked and went with something I thought was a little friendlier. I think this one can be seen as a bee or a flower (I tried to get that way) and I found a better, more playful, font.
Let me know what you guys think.
i don't like it. the kerning is all over the place, and the graphic looks like it was designed by a committee. Sorry, but keep cranking out ideas, you'll get something that tells the story you want to tell.

The immediate thing that caught my eye was that the curves are imperfect. Maybe you want to even them out.
I think you should take the abstraction even further.
The letters should be put together tighter.
This is the concept done effectively.

maybe stripe the font yellow and black if you like the bee's?!
