Calendar

Calendar

It's not quite a web site, but seeing as how this site is largely, centered around user interface and presentation, I figured I might be able to get some feedback here.

This is a user interface to a program that does only one thing: provide a quick interface in the style of quicksilver to add in and view calendar entries.

Here are a couple more shots that give you a better idea of what it looks like on the screen. The second also gives a view of the add event form.

i really like the calander it self... there is something bugging my about the list on the right. I think it's the color tags on the left of the list... to big ... doesnt fit the calander.

but I really love the calander part!!

Those color tags are just to aid in matching events on the calendar to the long descriptions in the list. They're assigned to events arbitrarily by the program when the calendars are loaded and have no consistency there. I haven't been able to think of a way to generate ones based on the events themselves, so I've stuck with that way.

It's not visible in the example, but if an event has an alarm, a small alarm icon (which needs some work too) is displayed in the color marker. Other than that, I haven't really thought up much of a use for them other than a visual matching cue. They are drawn proportionally to match each row, so if I was to shrink the rows a bit, they would shrink too. Think that'd help?

And on a side note, looks like someone or something figured out how to edit my first post up there...

As larusson said, the calendar looks cool, but the sidebar is somehow not working. I think the major issue is that the calendar is nice and curved, but the sidebar has straight corners. Also the colored patches are like half oval shaped on one side only. Not much help, but I can only tell you what's bothering me.

You were not logged in when you posted this crit. That's why it didn't appear under your name. I fixed that. You can edit your post now.

Is it functional? I tried one link and came up with nothing but an error. I am sure you have it working on it's own front... Good Job!
