Capture full Web page screenshots with Paparazzi!

If you often do screen captures of Web sites, you've most certainly run up against the limits of OSX's built-in screen capture capabilities. Even my personal favorite, Snapz Pro has one limitation that annoys me. Enter Paparazzi!

Paparazzi! is a FREE application which gives you the ability to capture an ENTIRE Web page, regardless of how long the page is, with a single click. You enter the URL of the Web site you want to take a screenshot of and click the Capture button. You can capture the page at full size, or crop it. You can also specify an amount of the page to capture, such as only capturing 800x600 pixels even when the page is wider. And if the page has an animation you want to capture a particular part of, you can set a delay for the capture.

Once captured, you are presented with a preview image and the ability to save the capture in .jpg, .png, .pdf or .tiff format.

The results are fantastic. Crystal clear images of entire Web pages ready for immediate use.

Of course you can get along without this app by using normal screenshot methods and piecing them together with Photoshop, but it's just so much easier with Paparazzi!

That's very easy and cool. I always wondered how I can do that. I used PS's built in tool to match up pieces.

You didn't need to mention hat Snapz Pro's MAJOR limitation is that its not free! :) This is a GREAT idea. going to downland now.

Don't mistake Snapz Pro and Paparazzi! as both being general screenshot applications. Paparazzi! will ONLY capture Web pages, nothing else.

Snapz Pro is a fantastic application, and while a bit overpriced (in my opinion) I still find it worth the money. The options it offers are by far the best for this type of application.

great find! there is also an extension for firefox called Pearl Crescent Page Saver Basic that does full page shots...

You could also try Screengrab

I have been using the Firefox add-on Screengrab for a while now. It is tucked away in your contextual menu and will allow a range of options to save the current page.

you can go to the print dialogue and in the bottom left corner, there's a PDF benu (button/menu). click it, go save as pdf, name it, and it will "print" the webpage to a pdf file-much easier, I think, since you can enlarge the font size if you decide thast you want to later, copy-and-paste, and the content (text) will show up in spotlight searches. i find this much easier.
