CB Exposure
I just finished a job for a new client in a distant city who heard of me by happening across our critique of a logo for a business similar to his. He liked what I had to say, checked out my Web site (designed by CB Megatalent Stephanie), liked what he saw and gave me a call to design his logo and some starter collaterals (more to come). It was an absolutely delightful experience. How cool is that?
This is as good a reason as any to participate in critiques and give your comments some thought. Apparently, there are unseen others gathering around the table :-)

Actually, the same thing happened to me
It was probably 6 months ago, and same thing—they saw my posts and clicked on my link to my site and voila! Contacted me. It wasn't anything lucrative (logo design), but it was something, right? I'm sorry I never posted that, I guess it would have been cool to know this 6 months ago.
I also frequent another forum on a daily basis (sadly) and because I put one of my pop art thumbnails and a link to my website as my signature there, I am constantly getting contacted to do custom pop art designs. It's really cool how this forum-thing has gotten me (us) work!!! Anything helps in this economy.
