CB is becoming to pobular...
larusson (713 pencils) | Sun, 2005-05-08 23:30I don't know if anyone else is having this dilema... but in the last 10 months, since Ivan started this great site, the member list has grown and the topics in the forum with them... so now everytime I come here, there are a bunch of new topics to read... almost to many. If I would read everything here, it would take a good chunk out of the day... and if you miss a day or two for some reason, you have som work cut out for you when you get back.
I'm deffinatly not compaining... this is a good thing, that we have so much to talk about... just find this interesting. :)

Speaking of the growing list of forum topics... :p
Hehe ya I agree, but it's nice to see. Long live CB!

I agree.
I joined, then went away because there was hardly anything on the forum (?) and now, it's like there's so much everyday. We don't even have the Guess the texure game running no more and yet it's still packed with topics to be read everyday!
10 months? So it's going to be CB's first anniversary coming up shortly?
I prefer to keep it small and friendly. I think the good thing is that we don't have the usual overly personal stuff going on, like "I had a great bbq today" and "Michael is a pedo!" and stuff. It's nice to see that we're on-topic.
Maybe if cb grows too big to handle we can just introduce a new feature button that marks all messages as read, so we can be done with it with a press of a button. :)
you're right... i actually hadn't noticed, but 99% of the forums here are related to design, apple or this site.
that's pretty cool. not many chatboards out there that can brag on that! :)

Sections would be so very sweet!! But seriously... this site already kicks major butt!!
Am I stupid or what...
Did edit a post about a search facility and bang!!!
There it was in my face!!!!
Numpty award to me!!!!
What do you mean Mitch???
Ivan, I posted about having no search facility, then as quickly as I pressed the 'post comment', I saw the search box at the most prominent space in the nav...
...at the top!!
Done a quick edit, to illustrate my stupidness, before someone pointed it out.
As i said, 'numpty award' goes to me!!!!! ;)
How about some type of mailer that tells us by the day what new topics are going on?
why not... thanks!
Just an little idea..
As time progress and the "Critique" section just flies forward with submits, it can be hard to follow your stuff you want people to criticise and it's their comments that are important..
My Idea is to put in the user menu a option called "My Critiques" and you instantly can see just your owns Critique submits and easily see if you got any new comments on your Image/Website or whatever you want critic on..
Perhaps also so you can sort by Web/Print/Design in the Critique gallery?
That's a good idea. I'm looking into how to make the navigation area more organized and useful...
How many members are we now Ivan?
Got any numbers?
With luomat as our latest registered member we are at 825. Counting down to 1K. :)
We've got 825 but nowhere near that many are active, must have a lot of 0 posters huh?

Many ppl just register to use the benefits of the post tracking I guess.
i "discovered" this site/blog/community(don't know how to defne it) yesterday, and i passed about hours reading all the news and blog posts! and i must say i'm in love with this site, i mean, i searched this kind of site for a long time. anyways thank you all for contributing to this wonderfull place.
peace.
Thanks for joining. Thanks for the compliments. There is much to do on this site, but we'll get there eventually. :)
I feel the reason this community is different from so many other communities is everyone is professional or on their way there. Every is or acts like an adult 100% of the time. Besides that as a designer C&C is one of the best tools to increase your designing eye/skillset. In short, I love this place. Everyone is humble enough to make you feel welcomed yet forward enough to give you serious c&c.
Well put matthew. I hope it stays this way.
You've hit the nail on the head no doubt! The professionalism is what makes or breaks a community like this.
