Change the SpotLight shortcut

Does it annoy you that pressing Command + F brings up the Finder''s search box? In the SpotLight preference pane, simply click in SpotLight's shortcut field (one opens the SpotLight menu, the other brings up the spotlight window) and press Cmd + F. Now pressing Cmd + F from any application brings up SpotLight.

I have an issues with changing the spotlight menu to cmd+F. I use the find feature in almost every application that I use daily and that would conflict with it.
Everytime you have to reset pram or cold reboot or update os .... it resets to normal.
although a good shortcut is ctrl+space for the spotlight, if you have sizzling keys installed for iTunes control.

Jammo,
You are lucky. Mine resets itself on every reboot (hot or cold). That said, I have gotten so used to Cmd+Space = Spotlight, Option+Space = QS and Cmd+F = Search that it is a bit akward to switch them to how I used to have things setup in before (or the ideal way).
But why? Sticks for me...
You're right though, it disables Cmd-F in many apps. Well, whatever...you could have Cmd+Shift+F perhaps of change the shortcut in the apps.
My only beef with Cmd+Space for Spotlight is that I'm so used to using it for magnifying in Photoshop. I ended up just turning off the Spotlight shortcut altogether.
