I like it!

Personally I would make it look a bit grungier, especially the hand. Or more sterile, like a nice blue/greenish cross-processed photo, colors like this one http://static.flickr.com/15/19709352_e1235ae540.jpg?v=0

You could also try to make the tip of the needle/cross more like one of those hollow hypodermic needles (the one they use for piercings :-)

What about flipping the hand so it is aiming up? A more positive slant (cross up, not down), but also it seems upside down.

Why not make the liquid inside the syringe red (like blood). I think the tie in to Christ's blood would be cool. I like Fabio's "more grundgy" suggestion, rather than a more sterile look. Make the background dirty, but keep the hand sterile. Then you have a great contrast between the purity of the "drug/cure" and the impuirty of the "user".

Also how about moving the horizontal line of the cross up on the needle instead of down?

Hey, I like it. The idea is great and giving a modern tone to Christianity is definitely what is needed in this world. Although, I think you should move the hand to the lower left and have the needle sticking up towards the top-right. The (almost) upside-down cross that's there now is actually a satanic symbol. Although, most people wouldn't know that when looking at it.

And I agree with Fabio on adding more of a grunge look. Definitely looks good.

I agree with the rest of the gang that the hand should be flipped 180°. In this position is looks like the fellow has overdosed and is laying dead off-camera. In addition, the upsidedown crucifix is somewhat sacrilegious.
As for the message, I think "Do Jesus" says what it means to be Christian a little better. To "try" Christ means more, "give it a shot, if you don't like it, meh, throw Him back." The hand looks a bit priveleged, a soft, young hand. Maybe that's your angle...
However, your fundamental (if I may) message is clear: Christ as alternative to life of destitute drug dealing.

Great suggestions above. Only one thing that I would try. Why not have a different simple sans font in the bottom right corner. I feel the rough font is too much everywhere.

I do agree about the orientation of the syringe. I was actually feeling that this gives more "push" to the action. I wasn't aware of the negative reaction that it would give. Adding grunge effect too sounds a great idea! So is the "Do Jesus" thingy.

I was thinking the same thing over dinner tonight. A simple sans lends more credibility to the URL. That / is hideous.
Looking at it again, I'm thinking Christ Addicts should have it's own logo-type. This will also help to break you from the grunge font motif running rampant here and bring more focus to the identity of the group.
