Claris Hotel logo

The hotel is a fusion of modern and classic styles.
I tried to design the logo in the style of an italian mosaic. There are many of them in the hotel's entrance.

The colours are really hot. My only gripe is the font used for "HOTEL"...it might be a little too light for my tastes, but all in all great logo.

Ah, I remember when you first posted about this. There was some discussion, IIRC, about whether you should use the tile motif. I remember thinking it would be the perfect way to go. I like what you have here. I agree with artfiend that the font for "HOTEL" is too light. Also, because of the openness of the "L" in hotel, you might want to consider a font with an angular serif or something that would help close up the optical illusion of space on that right edge. If you decide to leave it as is, please consider kicking the "O" back to the left a hair or two, and tracking the "TEL" just that much more widely.
Do you think the comma shapes are too fontey-looking, or like cartoon dialog balloons? Would something with a bit of -- this word again! -- angularity maybe be a little more a propos?
I adore the palette. Think of the cafe menus...
