client adjustable website

Hello everyone ..hmm ..pretty new to the forum

I need to make a website, where on one of the pages the client can update the info himself. This info contains just a couple of images and small pieces of text.

What is the way to do this .. I do not know nay PHP is there someone who can point me in the right direction with out it costing me an arm and a leg

I included a temporary design template for the website. The page he would like to adkjust would be page with info what is going on in ANtwerp{belgium] and some links and picture nothing much ...

if you wanna keep it real simple you might try server side includes research for SSI on the web, all you need to do is provide a template for your client so they can upload the content.

Just short of a full-blown CMS (Content Management System) or even a blog like Textpattern or WordPress, I'd say put all of your layout and styling and separate out the portion your client's going to update with a simple include. This way they can make simple, HTML-based edits, but the page layout will not change.

I've done this for a couple of my freelance clients and they absolutely love it. The only caveat is your client will need to learn a bit of HTML and how to access the right file on the server.

There you can find lots of PHP code already writtn for you, you just whack it in place and acknowledge the person that wrote it. Simple as that.

There is code for all sorts of operations.
