Just a concept I've been messing around with..the photography is just a filler I am more interested in what you guys think of the concept and execution of the cloud. All feedback is appreciated.
When I think of the phrase cloud 9 I think of Joy and Happiness and Fun and Bright. What you have is none of those things. It seems dreary. The font is cold and the rain is depressing. I like the idea but needs to be executed better with brighter color and mirth.
Why is one streak of rain going in the opposite direction?
I'd go for bolder lines and not such specific detail as a base start. You lose the inside line detail with those colours and won't notice them at small reductions.
I can't help but notice there's 9 rain streaks, and it looks like an N & I trying to spell out something with them. The cloud's color & stroke are too close to each other. The slightly condensed font looks uncomfortable, especially on the numeral 9. The combination of heavy rainstorms & portrait photography might not be sending the message you want.
Don't think anyone is going to catch the jailhouse numbering. The font also seems too staid and formal for a name like "cloud" which conjures up visions of soft and fluffy. The name fires the imagination - I don't see that here. Let loose. Have some fun with it.
i also caught the juxtaposition of "cloud nine" having an extreme positive meeting and your visual having a negative meaning. this is a very bad thing (i don't see any way to spin this as a positive for a company identity).

the rain is supposed to create a tallied number 9

I think you're over thinking this. It confuses the simplicity of the cloud and doesn't work visually.

Is this supposed to play off iCloud? If so, get a good lawyer!
+1 to all the other comments.

i see a stormy cloud and lightning. and the icon and text are too separated.
cloud nine is supposed to be happy. not stormy.
reboot.
i caught the numbering, but it feels forced.

i think this is a bad concept here.
