...but man does it look bad when cyan, magnenta, and yellow are next to each other.
It could possible be a little more aesthetically pleasing if maybe you used colors that are a little more muted. Like a Reflex Blue, Red, and a yellow with a little more black in it. People will understand that the CMYK stands for what it stands for still, and you will have a better looking color scheme.
Anyway, that's just my two cents.

That logo is so high on the cheeseball factor scale that I can't even comment on the rest of the banner.
The perspective on the reflection is wrong, and it's too vibrant for a reflection. The colors that we all know and love look absolutely horrid together like that.
The logo reminds me of something you got from "Business Cards Tomorrow" back in the 80's when you payed for the $19.95 logo design.
Every designer knows what CMYK colors are, so there's no need to show them. The people that don't know what CMYK colors are, aren't going to get the reasoning behind using those colors... they're just going to think you ate some fruit and shit a rainbow.
Oh, and as far as the banner, the leading needs to be adjusted on the gray type on the right, with the descenders on the first line nearly touching the second, the word art looks like its floating by itself down there.
Sorry for being so brutal with the critique, but I believe in giving you my honest opinion.

I agree with Jim about the logo being cliche. Why not try to reinterpret what we already know somehow. Remember the Helvetica poster?
You could try to do something similar here. Just the first idea that comes to my head - CMYK in RGB colors?
There is something bothering me in the menubar. Can you check the distance between the menu points if they are equal?
On the right, you can try to lose the bullets. They are not really needed.
Good luck! Hope my mumbling helps.
I can't think of one good example of multi colour type (let me know if you can) It is much stronger to keep the typography as simple as possible and use colour else where in a subtle way. Something like 4 colour dots underneath would work really well.
Also the 3D affect is far too exaggerated for a logo and if your going to do it make sure the perspective and shadow are correct.
Tell me if this quick simple example doesn't look 100 times better:

Sorry but sometimes harsh is fair, no?

Thank you for all your feedback so far. I will take these points into consideration and show you the results!
Again... thank you for being honest even if it means being harsh!

Nice to see you don't take it as an offense!
it liked the both versions, but the second looks better, the font of the menu could be TW Cent MT, i found it much better than your actual menu font.

I have uploaded a jpeg of new logos ---- to view click on logos.jeg in the attachment section up the top.
I took your ideas into consideration tonight and came up with these...
More feedback please!

These are much better. My favourites are top right and bottom left. But then I am a sucker for simple typography. The cool thing about modular designs like those is that you can use parts in isolation to give yourself more options.

Perhaps have overlapping circles of C, M and Y and have the type in black... would give you something a bit more dynamic as well as hinting towards what CMYK really means. It's the overlapping that matters...
