Why did you create these specific logos?

Check out what I've been up to lately!

I'm going to print it out and eat it.

What exactly do they do? as leaky said...
#2 is a nice update, it certainly gives it a little kick into being something more modern. I would question the validity of including the vertical stroke though. is it necessary?
#3 KILL IT. Awful. Is that Mistral? I haven't seen that font for years, and with good reason. I am not sure of what I make of the mark, but one thing I am sure of is that it isn't working.
#4 I like it. I can see where you have taken the shape of one of the petals of the original logo, and simplified. I think it works if it is a web only brand, the subtlety of the off white might be an issue with print. Maybe lay out #4 the same as #2, that would work better in my opinion.
living on dreams and custard creams.
as monkey says, 2 is a decent update.
3. wrong on about every level
4. one word: vagina
#4 is the starting point for something new. Ditch the white (as monkey said) - that's only going to cause problems whenever you use it. No shadow - looks goofy and it's another hassle down the road. Then try the letters vertical and maybe wider. As wgzn said - vagina - but you know what? I love looking at vaginas. :-) Try the mark off to the side like #2 with comtec systems and the tag stacked to the right.
That gives you ONE option. Now think up a couple more NEW ideas - because all of these look like they were generated off the original logo. Where is YOUR design contribution?
to add to the other (very good) comments, why would you make the ampersand in red on #4? that makes the ampersand very important, and it's the absolute least important object in the entire logo.
brings to mind the following thought: don't do things just to do them. do them for a reason. preferably a *good* reason.
I like #4 and vaginas too.
reflected and united shapes means communication.
