Copa Music Label

Copa Music Label

Hi,
This is my first work to be critiqued, so go easy.
The logo is for a new alternative music label called Copa, which means peak here in Wales, and cup in Brazil! The brief was not to pay attention to the meaning of the word in designing the logo, just come up with something unique. So I took my inspiration from a 'loop' symbol found on some tape decks and formed the name out of it. The hope in the future was to be able to drop the actual text on the right and just stick with the main shape on the left once recognised as the Copa logo.

Let loose.

PS, an alternative version is also attached.

I like it alot.

I think you could improve legibility in the logo if you closed the O and disconnected it from leading into the P. then you could loose the wordmark COPA all together (which really just takes away from the logo)

BTW nice distress work. might loose it at a small size though...

all in all, very nice logo/workmark.

Thanks for your comments. The reason the 'o' is not closed and is connected to the 'p' is because of the inspiration that came from the tape loop symbol and I don't want to lose that connection.

Thanks again

not to sound cheesy or make ur graphic sound bad,

but if this were printed on a shirt, i'd buy it,
and i think thats what makes it perfect for a music type graphic

Looks really cool. How did you do that?

I like the second logo/loop better. I am not crazy about the loop on the right extending too far off to the right of the graphic. I would like to see it incorporated with Copa in the first one to get a better idea. But I agree with everybody else, it's a great logo!

Good job.
