CPR Sandwich Board Sign Redux 4
EOppegaard (68 pencils) | Sat, 2010-08-07 02:02The ongoing saga of our CPR sign.
We did elect to remove the www from the website address as we would rather have it a bit larger.

Do you want people to visit your website or call to book a course, flip that.
everything is hugging the edges, give it some breathing space or make it feel uncomfortable like an asthma attack, one or the other.
It's hardly attention grabbing is it. I would walk straight past this.
You need to shock. "Would you know what to do in an emergency?" "What would you do if your friend collapsed?" "LEARN HERE!"

We get many more calls, rather than visits to the website.
The sign would be placed roadside, and mainly would be seen by passing cars, and we would like it to be easily read from a distance.
exactly, swap their positions.
I just think you need something to make people take interest, and WANT to take a CPR course, rather than only saying you offer them. This is basic marketing. You need to reel them in. And the more people that know basic CPR the better.

I see double, triple informations, you need a better text.
Look why you repeat "CPR and ECC Courses" if you already said CPR two times before?
I'm foreigner but I feel the word "AID" need to be more prominent.
And obviously the American Heart Association Logo could be more explored.
yes I'm brazilian xD
Getting a lot of differing opinions here. Since this is sitting on the ground - there will be less time to read this than a billboard (which is up high and can be seen for quite awhile as you drive up). This is going to be a 2-second peek from the passing cars - ergo, it needs to be quick and easy to read. Therefore - my advice would be to concentrate on 3 items...
CPR
Learn Now
Phone
I'd drop the website under the phone (as I suggested before) and focus on highlighting those items. You can increase the phone size by dropping the brackets and going with periods if you want... 203.245.9821. That would save you close to 3 characters (2 brackets become 1 dot, the area code separator space is removed and the dash becomes a period.
Everything else on the sign is bs. If the client requires it - great. But so far as response? Don't think it will make a lick of difference to a car driving by at 30mph.
As always - jmho.
This looks way too amateurish. it looks like what the secretary's grandson did in Word at the old place I used to work at for the summer.
The only thing that works is the American Heart Association logo.

Check out what I've been up to lately!

I'm going to print it out and eat it.

Logo circle thing needs to be moved to the bottom. Take off the drop shadow and make it 75% smaller. Don't make everything so mathematically balanced.
Personally, if it's as you say, roadside for passing cars, I'd put it landscape and delete everything except the "CPR" (maybe put, "learn cpr") and the URL.
How big is this sign going to be?
How about something like 'Learn To Be A Hero - CPR Training' or 'Save A Life - Learn CPR' , these are quick but just something that grabs attention a bit more. An eye catching image as well would be good, and make it look more professional - does look very basic at the moment. A design can look basic but at the same time profesisonal.
Hope this helps.
