Creating an ICN file
mbennett (26 pencils) | Mon, 2005-10-10 18:54I've been asked by a client to create an .icn file for use in a software program that is being developed for their company. The image they want is a small part of their logo which is available to me in any format I want. (Except icn)
I can't seem to get much help from the guy writing the software, except that he needs an .icn file, which isn't much help at all. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to proceed from here? I'm on Mac OSX by the way. Thanks...

Any help?
Try IconBuilder from IconFactory. It's a Photoshop plugin and by far the best tool to create Mac and Windows icons:

The demo is fully usable.
I have done that and created some great .ico files. They are asking for .icn files, though. Like I said, the guy coding the software can't give me any answers, so he is going to get an .ico file whether he likes it or not. I'll let him take it from there. Thanks for the replies..
