I see two vertically placed C's with a dot in the middle. But the circular shadow at the bottom is odd. What throws that shadow, or is it a fundament? And if it is two C's, what's the dot?

..

i like it, i really do, but it reminds me of the 1st gen shuffle like others have said. it has a nice feel too it, just too bad i keep thinking "shuffle"

it also has a touch of "do not disturb" door hanger...

well done none the less.. :|

What if you turned it on its side (flip it counter-clockwise by 90 degrees) so the green looks like a 'C'?

Plastic paper clip?

I don't get it. What's the concept? What sort of creating is involved? Why the gray spotlight? Why the dot? Don't get me wrong -- the rendering is sophisitcated and at first, I thought, ooh, neat! But on second and third glance...doens't really do it for me. Also "creativeconcepts" is off-center. The font strikes me as weak, especially relative to the weight of the "shuffle border".

It's a fictional company. I'm in college, I don't have many clients. The dot is higher to show it's higher on the scale of the two C's. I suppose it looks like a shuffle but not so much as to distract me from it's 'creative'ness. The shadow looks much better there then not there. I think the text worked but I suppose I could try a thicker font. I don't think it'd work though.

ok

No, thanks I'll stick to my own ideas.

If it makes you feel better it was originally turned 90 degrees, but it looked horrible; The dot had no purpose, so it wasn't there. The dot is needed to show the scale of creativity.

Sometimes I want a Critique,

Sometimes I want a Critique, sometimes I think my work is fine already; in which case it's put up to help give other's ideas.

If an idea comes around that I think might help then I'll think about it, in this case I already knew and tried all valuable ideas. So I still encourage suggestion, but I discourage posts of which explain to me the idea of a critique.

humble yourself

I think if you can't take constructive criticism, you should be a designer - we are only helping. I think the logo is on the right track but listen to some of the suggestions and it could be better.

headstrong

such headstrong designers are just creating their own fate.. and it's never a pretty one. it's not to be negative of me, cause i try not to be. However, to say "i think my work is fine already" but to post it in a critique section is rather contradictive. To wait until you think an idea is worthy to be attempted is being naive, to take the suggestion and just try it is being progressive, to accept it is noble. I know first hand that listening to others ideas can be difficult to take, and soemtimes to imagine. Many a times i've attempted to integrate the suggestions only to see they work quite well, or that they create other approaches and ideas.

being headstrong isn't always a bad thing, being narrow minded however will kill you in the design industry.

with that said, going back to the fact that it looks ALOT like the 1st gen shuffle really bugs me. it yells "rip off" you did nice work on this none the less, but it definitly wouldn't win me over if i was buying into your design service for my logo and it reminded me of a largely popular product.

liquixcat's picture

I'm not being headstrong, I

I'm not being headstrong, I took all ideas into consideration. You should read my post, I've tried all ideas. I'm quite used to criticism and I am happy to oblige to intriquing ideas. so once again, I HAVE tried these ideas.

And also not to be negative but where is your book on how to be a designer? I assume you are the greatest since your confidence in my fate is so superb. How do you know by being 'headstrong' that I'm not setting myself up for a position broader then your own.
