Are we talking Illustrator, InDesign or Photoshop?

For InDesign CS3, go to File>Export (or hit Apple + E). From the export dialog box, choose InDesign Interchange from the Format drop-down menu.

This will save the InDesign file in a format that CS2 can open. Be sure to check the file when you open it in CS2 for any oddness that may occur. SOME features of CS3 simply cannot be applied or displayed in CS2.

For Illustrator, just save the file as a CS2 .ai or .eps file. Photoshop just save as normal.

Agreed. The resulting file is a .inx that is reinterpreted by CS2 when you open it, hence the lost of CS3 features.
